On Sunday, September 28, 2014 St. Catherine University’s Residence Life and KON co-sponsored a 5K dye run on campus for Sarah’s… An Oasis for Women. It was a beautiful day out with sunny, warm weather for the end of September, and the runners were ready to run their 5K. The 5K course hit all the major outdoor “sights” on the south and west side of campus: The infamous gates, Dew Drop Pond, the woods, the soccer field and the tennis courts. Students, community members, mothers, faculty, children all participated in the race and had a blast getting hit by the volunteers’ throws of color dye. A little bit of added moisture turned everyone’s shirts from white to tie-dye by the end of the afternoon. With all the proceeds of the 5K dye run going to Sarah’s… an Oasis for Women, the 5K dye run was fun, for a good cause and a joyous event for everyone involved!
